In the past 24 hours, I’ve seen two moodboard, archive, whatever-you-want-to-call-it accounts announce that they’re evolving into more formal publications. First, Two Arab Minds shared that they’re becoming a digital magazine, expanding into interviews, write-ups, and a more defined editorial POV. Then, Prada Archive formally announced its transition into Practice Magazine, moving from posting high-fashion archive imagery to building a broader biannual publication. It feels like a natural progression, especially after Outlander (even though they have more formal backing) not only announced a move into print but executed it successfully.
Applications for the Nike Communications Black Acceleration Initiative are open. The Black Acceleration Initiative is a mentorship and strategic support program designed to help Black-owned businesses grow and scale. Five businesses will be selected for a 5-week cohort experience.
And House of Aama is looking for short film submissions that engage themes of migration, Black liberation, ancestral memory, and identities unfolding between past and possibility. We’re looking for works that understand story as both record and ritual, and that align with our ongoing commitment to holding space for lived experience, folklore, and cultural continuity.
